The existing shelter has so many issues including the looks, smell, load noises, and condition that cause stress to animals, staff, and volunteers. Not to mention the close quarters and having to move dogs in and out in these very tight quarters. In order to move dogs correctly and safely in and out of the facility, there needs to be room to pass people and other dogs. One dog being taken in or out of the kennel can cause major disruptions to the dogs, workers, and public trying to look at them.
