This is another post inspired by a post by marketing guru/writer Seth Godin.
He starts his post with the statement:
"Just about all sabotage is self-sabotage."
In the animal welfare world, we do know all we need to know about saving lives (or at least, have access to all of the information). But many still get in their own way by making excuses to why they can't do it, or putting the blame on someone else for animals dying in the shelter vs using their knowledge of how to make things better to really make a difference.
Sometimes the fear of doing all we can to make a difference is scarier than just keeping with the status quo. Because if we try our hardest, and we fail, then we can only blame ourselves.
Don't be a victim of self sabotage. You know how to save lives...let's do it. The animals are depending on us.
