This is a great story that was on the Today Show this morning. Walter was tossed out a car door and was left for dead -- hungry and with mange. With the help of some great, compassionate people, he has had a full recovery and seems like just a loving, caring, beautiful dog. And literally thousands of people donated money online to help with the dog's recovery -- and the couple is using the extra money to set up a fund at the Veterinary hospital that helped save Walter to help with other abuse cases.
I've embedded a video with the story-- but just in case it doesn't work you can go directly to the Today Show's website.

How people can abuse animals I will never understand! They just aim to please in return for love. Love the Walter rescue story. Made me happy that there are wonderful people out there that rescue, and sad that this beautiful animal had to endure such abuse. A happy ending thanks to wonderful people! Congratulations Walter and your new family,,,,,, truly a heart warming story!

This is awesome!!! I can't understand and never will how people can be so cruel to their dogs or any pet. Why would anyone ever want a dog that they just leave to die. It doesn't make sense to me. What type of character do these uncaring selfish people have. I would never want to interact with someone with such bad character. What you have done is amazing and selfless and I take my hat off and bow to you for your love.
