The Top 5 is my monthly loook at the 5 most popular blog postings for the month of April. These are the top new posts for April, and don't really include the posts from previous months that have remained popular. +1 is the post that I wrote that wasn't in the top 5 that I wish more people had taken the opportunity to read.
Here's the top 5:
1) Local Humane Societies changing names, HSUS now on the defensive - I just posted this one on Thursday and am a bit surprised it made it to #1 in just 2 days, but it got there.
2) When Laws lose their original purpose and we choose to punish instead -- on Sioux City denying a man the opportunity to license his "pit bull" 4 days after the deadline.
3) The media, breed mis-identificatoin, and the danger in creating narratives based on untruths.
4) US Supreme Court rules that dog fighting videos are OK -- this is pretty unfortunate because I posted this after the news story was released. I would have much rather people had read my thoughts on this after I had gotten a chance to read the full court ruling.
+1 - What does a good dangerous dog law look like -- I wish every city council person who thinks breed specific laws are a solution would read that one post.
another great month of blogs from you, Brent. Thanks again for your hard work

I think #1 was posted on Humanewatch so that may be why it got so many views. You probably have gotten a bunch of new readers too!

Brent, I know that you (and Michelle) put a lot of blood, sweat, and tears into this fantastic, now world famous blog. I truly appreciate all the hours of study and research that you put into this, for the benefit of educating all of us who would otherwise not be able to stay updated on our own.
Thanks again!
