Norfolk, VA Woman Dead after dog Attack

I promise to move on to happier news tomorrow....

A 49 year old Jacksonville, NC woman, Theresa Ann Ellerman, was bitten by a an Alaskan Malamute owned by some friends in Norfok, VA -- and died shortly following the attack.

The woman was apparently "not mauled" by the dog, but was bitten in the neck by the dog and paramedics were called when the woman had problems breathing. She died a short time later. The death was ruled accidental.

The story ran in 11 news outlets in Virginia area.  There have been few details available on this attack.

My sympathies go out to the family of Ms Ellerman.
