« The "Why Imperative" Of Animal Rescue/Sheltering | Main | Toledo's Tom Skeldon Down, but not out »

November 12, 2009

I was in the Navy in the 70's, and remembered how good it was to get a package from home.

You can load up a flat-rate box from the Post Office and ship it to someone for about $12. Look for suggested items online. Check with a local military base, or your nearby reserve office, or find a web site with addresses. I looked up people who were serving as K9 handlers in Afghanistan, but that was just my preference.

You might just be the difference in a good, or a very, very bad day.

A good DEED done both ways. Serving and saving a dogs. WELL DONE> you are a true hero in peoples EYES.
