Good stuff Brent!

Becky

Excellent reporting, as usual, Brent. I have been out of the loop for quite awhile, so maybe this is 'old hat' here.

I had a good conversation w/ Animal Control of Lenexa, KS awhile back. (at the dog swim/Tails on trails) Lenexa has no bans and is very 'animal friendly'.

I was very impressed w/ this idea, and the attitude that went along with it. When folks are licensing and tagging their pets, Lenexa recommends at least 2 and hopefully more phone numbers on the tag.

This is because their intention is to return more animals home before a trip to the shelter. So often, owners are not at home when their pet escapes, so having add'l phone numbers on the tags allows them to possibly hook up w/ a relative and/or neighbor instead of immediately heading for the shelter. What a great idea!

Did this possibly come from the No Kill program?

PAMM - People Against Moronic Men

Skeldon needs to GO! He is too full of himself to every make it easy to save animals - will try to undermine people just to spite them.

In fact, anyone that has been involved in AW for more than 5 years and/or who isn't completely on board with ending the killing NEEDS TO GO!!!
