Over the past month, a team of evaluators, including folks from Bad Rap and the ASPCA evaluated the dogs and made recommendations as to whether they best suited to be with faimilies, trained as police dogs, placed in a sanctuary or euthanized. I've seen the Bad Rap evaluation process when they tested many Hurricane Katrina Dogs in New Orleans, and can say from first hand knowledge that their testing is strict, but fair.
Of the 49 dogs that literally were trained and bred to fight, only one, when removed from that environment was not found suitable to be around humans and other dogs. Thus proving what the ASPCA (and every "pit bull" advocate for decades) has said, that every companion animal should be treated and evaluated as an individual.
Hat tip to Donna at Bad Rap for pointing out the story....and best of luck to the 48 dogs that graciously get a 2nd chance at life.
Not even being abused can stop pit bulls from being great loving pets!
Thats great!!!!!!!
