Must be political season. Yesterday, I took a bit of a drive through Kansas City enjoying the nice weather -- and taking note of which candidates seemed to be getting support in which areas of town.
Not unlike a good many elections, supporters of a lot of the candidates are putting signs up illegally in public areas -- including in the center grassy areas of many of the boulevards in town. I don't really intend to call out Jim Rowland with the photo because there are several candidates who have the same problem, but the 15 or so signs (there are 3 visible in this one photograph) that one of his supporters put up in a 4 block stretch of Paseo between 10th and 14th was the more egregious examples of the signs popping up on our city boulevards.
This isn't legal, of course, and I wish more of the candidates would be very clear with their supporters to not put the signs up on public property. It's really not fair to the people who really do want to play by the rules.
